FOREST LAKES RENEWED ENERGY, CONTINUED IMPROVEMENTS
Located west of I-75, Forest Lakes enjoys a unique position in Sarasota—conveniently situated between two major medical centers and just minutes from University Town Center and Sarasota’s renowned theater district, restaurants, and amenities.
Yet, despite its convenient location, Forest Lakes offers something increasingly difficult to find in today’s rapidly developing Sarasota: space, character, and privacy.
If you have driven through some of the newer developments east of I-75, you may have noticed the narrower streets, smaller lots, and more densely packed homes. Forest Lakes Estates offers a very different experience. Our wide streets and expansive properties provide a sense of openness and a level of casual luxury that has become increasingly rare.
That character is evident every day. Take a walk through the neighborhood and you will see residents strolling, neighbors walking their dogs, and families enjoying the easy access to Tanglewood and Pinecraft Parks. Our wide streets and established landscape make Forest Lakes a place where people still enjoy being outdoors and connecting with their surroundings.

And now, something even more significant is happening within our community.
A group of Forest Lakes and surrounding-area residents stepped forward and purchased The Palms Golf Club, an amenity that has long been at the heart of Forest Lakes. Their decision to invest in the club demonstrates not only confidence in its future, but also the pride residents have in protecting and enhancing the community they call home.
You may also have noticed the many other improvements taking place throughout Forest Lakes. Extensive renovations are transforming existing homes, while brand new home construction is bringing fresh energy to the neighborhood. At the same time, our mature trees, established streets, open spaces, and natural surroundings continue to preserve the character that makes Forest Lakes distinctive.
With a Historic Marker recognizing the area's significance to Old Florida, Forest Lakes remains a community with both history and momentum.
Perhaps most importantly, the renewed activity we are seeing is a reflection of the people who live here—residents who care about their homes, their neighbors, and the future of this remarkable community.
After 62 years Forest Lakes is not standing still. It is evolving, improving, and renewing its energy — all while preserving the character that has made it special for generations.
